Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian actress. Her screen debut was with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film in which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as Best Actress. French, German English and Romanian are the most spoken languages. The father of her mother was an actor, and her mother a violinist. She was awarded the Best Female Actor Award for the Year in 2000 at the Gala for Young Actors in Mangalia. The year 2008 saw her recognized as an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. In 2007, her performance as a character in Cristian Mungiu's Romanian art film, 4 months 3 weeks and 2 days (4 months 3 weeks and two days) was awarded three weeks and a day. Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two more awards. The Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. Additionally, she was a part in Francis Ford Coppola's film Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim Anwar in BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She was Irma in Fury 2014 in which she portrayed a German name aunt of Emma.
