Alex has been born in Pasadena, California, and lived to be raised in Hancock Park, a Los Angeles suburb of Hancock Park. Her father is Dr. Charles B. Witt is well-known as a Thoracic surgeon from Los Angeles. Colette Witt is her mother. Charles Witt as well as Walter Witt are her siblings.
